The crash occurred at 3 a.m. at  Wilson Avenue and Hensler Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Crime Scene Investigations Bureau is investigating the incident, authorities said.
